How to Cancel, Stop and Deactivate auto-renewal on MTN Network

MTN auto-renewal happens on any of the data plans. It has two methods in deactivating the auto-renewal: by using the data plan USSD code or general auto-renewal deactivating code.

To deactivate, stop or cancel auto-renewal on MTN, kindly go to your SMS and send STOPDATA to 131which is the general method.

Another way to deactivate a particular data plan on MTN is by sending NO+code to 131 e.g NO103 to131 as a text message. The "103" is the code used in activating the data plan.

So, one out of the two methods must surely work and you will be automatically free from the unnecessary deduction of your credit for re-subscribing a future data plan.

How to Cancel, Stop and Deactivate auto-renewal on 9mobile Network

Thanks to 9mobile for their general USSD code in deactivating auto-renewal of any data plans. It's so amazing and perfect.

To deactivate, stop, cancel and terminate data auto-renewal on 9mobile, simply dial *229*0# and amazingly, your work is done successfully. This means that you have successfully opted out of the auto-renewal.

How to Cancel, Stop and Deactivate auto-renewal on Airtel Network

Airtel also has a special code in deactivating auto-renewal of their data plans. This generalized code to stop any unusual deducting of credit for auto-renewal will definitely help you.

To deactivate, cancel, stop and terminate data auto-renewal on Airtel network, simply send STOP to141 and any auto-renewal activated on your SIM, will end immediately.

How to Cancel, Stop and Deactivate auto-renewal on Glo network

Glo - grandmasters of data plans, also have a special code in deactivating auto-renewal of data plans. It's simply done via text message.

To deactivate, stop, cancel and terminate data auto-renewal on Glo network, kindly send CANCEL to127 as text message. That's all.

GLO Network Bar not showing, see Solution

Firstly 9mobile suffered similar problems but am happy to announce to you that it is finally back and you can browse and make calls now.
Back to GLO, For about 4days now people have reported the sudden and unknown disappearance of their data signs like (H, H+, 3G, 2G...) when the want to browse or connect the Glo unlimited free browsing to their VPN. Though, the cause of the problem has been leaked.

According to a user on Twitter, who asked about the data connection disappearance, he was replied by one of Glo administrators, saying: "Its network issue". As shown below;

By now, I hope you can now deduce that network was the cause of the disappearance of Glo network icon? So, in order to bring up the connection, you have to wait for Glo network to come up automatically or better still, move to a better location where there is good network.

Another way to solve this issue is by buying any data plan from Glo using *777# and once the data is active, your phone network connection icon would appear instantly.

Anytime you find yourself in this situation, just follow the little trick  i will teach you in this post, and you are sure the message wouldn't be delivered. It's very simple to cancel a text message sent to a wrong recipient on Android and iOS before it delivers. Kindly follow the short guide below.

HOW TO CANCEL A TEXT MESSAGE SENT TO A WRONG PERSON  ON ANDROID & iOS

If you find yourself in such a position please read this post carefully.

>> Before the second Mark appears, immediately put your phone on Airplane mode. You should be very very fast, As this is the most important step.

CAN I TRY THIS ON NOKIA TORCH, JAVA / SYMBIAN?

This guide is likely not to work on these kind of phones. Because, on Nokia Torch-light, if you try to remove the battery immediately or switch off the phone, the text message will be Pending in Outbox folder. And once you turn on the phone, it will automatically re-send the text message before you could do anything. Same applies to Nokia Java and Symbian.
