WHAT IS DVmap?
A new malware is now currently affecting some android phones and is called Dvmap,
And this malware is now taking full control of most Android phone, even my Samsung J1 has now been affected and i successfully cleared it in not less than 2Minute.
Kaspersky has been on sharp patrol in the monitoring of the spread of Trojan horse in the Play Store since April 2017.
As we all know Google Play Store is the leading download engine in the world and their security should be the tightest, but the dvmap i has successfully figured out a way of fooling the google verification mechanisms by regularly swapping clean code with malicious code.
Now, we know that the Bouncers, which was introduced in 2012 to keep malware from the Play Store, can be tricked easily.
This malware, classified by Kaspersky Labs as Trojan.AndroidOS.Dvmap.a is a particularly tricky form of malware, according to experts. It tries to gain root access in four different ways, even with 64-bit compatible code. Worse, it injects malicious code into system libraries libdmv.so and libandroid_runtime.so.
HOW THE MALWARE WORKS?
As you get infected by this malware it remotely tries to gain access to the verification mechanism of your Android to allow the installation of third party apps.
This is done by an administrator service calledcom.qualcmm.timeservices, which looks similar to a legitimate background service like com.qualcomm.timeservices. Note the difference between the two service names which are the cmm AND comm, as it is a method used by hackers and malware advertisers to trick users into trusting them.

Google has the ability to allow the delete of harmful apps from your device. But since the malware is located at system libraries, it makes it nearly impossible to do so.
