The straight answer is no they don't clear viruses, but the block it for sometime, in some cases they may block it until your antivirus service runs out of date,then you need to update immediately before the virus spread and become unstoppable,in other cases it may hold the virus till when the antivirus in your PC 💻 get formatted. If so quickly get or download a new one right away.
HOW TO CLEAR VIRUSES MANUALLY ON YOUR COMPUTER
They are so many types of virus like VBS,bat, and lot more.
So to manually clear viruses is very simple just press the start Button on your PC and type vbs, any file that pops up with (anything). Vbs is a virus folder, so delete it permanently by deleting it normally and also deleting it from recycle bin.
Example: crash.vbs
For bat follow the same process and delete all files with .bat
Example: format.bat,matrix.bat,king.bat,nontext.bat
That all in permanently deleting a virus on your computer/laptop
