How to format your Android and keep your apps

Android phones now seem to have so many problems, what I mean by problems are errors.
My Gionee P5 encountered an internal error which needed to be cleared by formatting, so I came across an interesting feature of the Android phone which would enable you format your phone and you still have to keep all your apps.
Let me quickly show you
>> First go to your settings
>> Go to advance settings
>> Go to backup and reset

>> Under the highlighted personal data, go to factory data reset.
Under optional clear
>> Tick Phone storage data
>> untick Remove installed app

>> Next Confirm restore and proceed after continue and accept all order pop up.
Your phone would then switch off automatically and after about some minute it would turn on you can now set your primary language and other details you should now see that all your apps are in place.
